It starts with interest.
And if interest persists, it turns to care.
If you care enough, you begin to experiment.
And through experimentation comes learning and the discovery of those who already know.
Through learning comes the pain… not knowing, not excelling, not progressing.
From pain comes competency. The doing, but not doing well.
Over time and consistent competency, the good reluctantly begins to appear.
Finally from good comes the longest gap between the shortest distance. The improbable leap to great.
That is, if you didn’t lose interest and stop caring at one of a million inconvenient points along the way.
